Jeni Prince grew up surfing, sailing and diving in the artsy surfer community of Las Flores Beach in Malibu, California. She was surrounded by art from an early age, her grandfather collected fine art and was a sculptor, her father is an architect and her brother is a designer & fashion photographer.
Jeni received her art training at Santa Monica City College, U.C.L.A, Mira Costa College and U.C.S.D.
Her training includes plein air workshops by Camille Prezwodick, Ken Auster, Peggy Kroll & Betty Billiups.
Jeni works in a wide spectrum of artistic forms: oil and pastel paintings, Plein Air (painting outside on location), abstract mixed media, and cosmic visionary art. She has a line of expressive cards and prints called HeartArt and has painted on surfboards, furniture and even a catamaran. Her motto is: "All art all the time!" and her subjects are local scenes of Kauai and the surfer lifestyle. She has also painted murals and designed commercial art for corporate and private clients.
Jeni is a member of Kauai Outdoor Painters Association, Plein Air Painters of Hawaii, and Kauai Society of Artists.
Jeni's work can be found at her own Hanalei Moonflowers Art Gallery, Jem's Pacific Arts, Artists Gallery of Kauai, and Gallery West. Her studio is on the beautiful north shore of Kauai and she is available for commissions or special projects. You can also check out her work on the web at www.kauaiarts.net or email [email protected] for current images.
