I love the ocean and photography, and being able to combine the two is wonderful. Having grown up in Colorado, I currently reside in Oahu, Hawaii. My love for the water started at an early age: I learned to walk and jumped right into the pool! That eventually led to me swimming competitively for fifteen years. When I wasn’t in the pool, I had a camera in hand — I’ve been shooting photos for the past thirteen years. On graduating from high school in 2008, I spent four years at the US Coast Guard Academy studying marine environmental science. After receiving my commission. I was stationed in Hawaii. I served aboard USCGC Rush for two years and was a contingency planner at Sector Honolulu for three years. I spent my downtime surfing, body surfing, free diving, swimming, and shooting photos. All of my passions came together in the form of water photography.
