Lizzy is a Portuguese surfer girl living by the sea. She is a free and adventurous spirit, always ready to leave on the next adventure. A simple girl with simpler tastes, giving value to the small things in life. She feels at home in the ocean. The persistence and effort to become a better surfer gives her all the strength and balance she needs to face whatever awaits her in life. Ever since she was a little girl, she’s found in drawing a way of self-discovery. “Soul and surf” is how she describes her illustration style. She is inspired by different things; A surf session, a trip, a photo, a deeper connection with something or somebody, a dream, or anything that elicits a feeling or an emotion. Her compositions are made up of a mix of Bohemian inspirations, ethnical and tropical colours and patterns, stripes, mandalas, American Indian representations, feathers, birds, eyes, geometric figures, retro surf iconography, and classic surf movements.
