Ron Weideman (aka Ronzo) grew up in Detroit. Started working in Advertising, and was lucky enough to swing a transfer to Australia in 1984. Ron prefers to work in oils, acrylics, pastels, and many other mixed textures on canvas, linen, board, and metals. He loves to paint Australian surfing scenarios and ideals. A homage to the cruisy lifestyle that surfing used to be. Ron’s inspiration comes from his Mum. When he was thinking of becoming an artist, she was always there saying: “Yep, go for it, don’t be afraid to fail, be afraid not to try”. If that doesn’t give someone true inspiration to paint from the heart, what will? Ronzo has learned to explore himself and pull things up that mean something to him in order to mean something to somebody else.
