Born and raised in Liverpool, England. Jason didn't find his calling until his family moved to California and bought this unruly child a surfboard to keep him out of trouble. After diligent efforts to compete with the worlds finest surfers and a brief stint in LA county jail Jason found the back door route to traveling and surfing by placing himself behind the lens of a camera.
Jason has a very relaxed "go with the flow" approach to photography, capturing images that seem effortless yet profound. His editorial endevours have secured a 7 year history as a Staff Photographer for Transworld Surf magazine as well as his name appearing in the contributors column of almost every respected Surf publication worldwide.
After a portrait assignment in Hawaii for Transworld Surf in 2003, Jason established himself as one of the best portrait photographers in the surf photography market. Having shot over 2000 portraits of the worlds finest surfers, shapers and watermen, a book entitled "The Tribe" is set for release in March 2008.
When not shooting images of surfers, Jason photographs rock bands and girls.
