Chris Stanton is a self-taught artist with an educational background in screenwriting and creative writing. He loves fish tacos, Christmas and the 1987 cinematic classic "North Shore." He recently had his first solo exhibition in Los Angeles, and is writing a novel about the surf scene on Lake Michigan.
I'm inspired by the work of Lucian Freud, Trina Schart Hyman and David Hockney, as well as design, pop culture and video games from the late 1970s and early 80s. I had my first solo show in Los Angeles in 2005 and have taken part in more than twenty art shows since then. I'm available for commissioned work and have designed book and CD covers too.
