A message from the Surfrider Foundation...
Sick and tired of seeing plastics on your beaches and in the line-up? Same here. Our friends at Borders Perrin and Norrander (a Portland-based creative agency) have created a new PSA for Surfrider Foundation that sheds light on the disturbing state of our planet's oceans and the incredible amounts of plastic that have collected at sea. Check out the newest PSA below and forward it on to all of your friends...

Beautiful new piece from artist Troy Carney…
Troy wrote: "Just completed the new painting that is similar to the first Love and Double Happiness I painted back in 2006. This one is not square like the last and I have never painted a land mark from another island before. I figured Diamond Head is a good place to start. I'm calling this one "Diamond Head Love & Double Happiness". It is 24x18 inches with 1.5 inch depth and 0.25 inch black around the image. 22k Genuine Gold and oil on wood. The Chinese came to Hawaii in 1787 and worked the lands for many big land owners. Love and Double Happiness is a strong symbol of good luck and prosperity in all your relations. Aloha Hau oli (Love and Double Happiness)"

Great find! Check out all these vintage surfing posters, I love them! Those were the days eh! And some great surf art featured on the majority of the posters too! It's a shame we rely so much on computers and vector illustrations nowadays, when a lovely painted, illustrated or hand-rendered poster is so much nicer (and collectible)...
See more here... and leave a comment too if you like them! ;)
